Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella was happy to give Alessandro Diamanti a debut in their Coppa Italia win over Atalanta.
Diamanti made his debut in the final 15 minutes.
Montella said: "Diamanti is eager and we all know his characteristics. He needs to improve his fitness levels and I thought it important to let him breathe the air of the Stadio Franchi.
