Monreal: FA Cup goal my most important for Arsenal

Nacho Monreal was over the moon after helping Arsenal advance to the FA Cup final.

The Spanish full-back fired home at the back post in the 71st minute at Wembley to equalise in the semi-final in the eventual 2-1 victory over Manchester City.

The goal was just his third for the Gunners, and seventh overall in senior football, while being the first he has ever scored with his right foot.

"I am really happy as we were losing 1-0 against a really good team," Monreal told Arsenal Player.

"It was a good cross from the Ox (Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain) and I was there at the far post.

"I didn't realise as I thought Jesus Navas was going to clear the ball but he didn't - and I didn't think about it.

"I just shot with my right foot and I scored. It was also my first goal on my right foot in my whole career so I'm really happy!

"It is probably one of the most [that I have ever celebrated]. I haven't scored too many goals so this was the most important."
