Swansea City boss Garry Monk was delighted with their 1-0 win at Aston Villa.
Swansea are 11 points adrift of the European spots but Monk insisted they will not let their season end quietly.
He said: "In the first half we were fantastic, we created some good chances. The second half was much more even with both teams pushing and fighting.
"When you consider we were away from home, with a big, expectant crowd and a confident Aston Villa team, I thought we dealt with that well. Overall we deserved that.
"A lot of people will be questioning what we have to play for - we're not going to get relegated and we're not fighting for Europe - but that showed the character, focus and spirit in the squad that we continue to fight and push. We did that very well in the second half."
