Reports suggest that Borussia Monchengladbach have rejected a loan bid from Newcastle United for Luuk de Jong.
The Magpies have again been showing considerable interest in the 23-year old Dutch striker after missing out on him when he was at FC Twente in the summer of 2012.
de Jong has struggled for form since arriving at 'Gladbach for around £12million but it is believed that the Bundesliga outfit would rather a permanent transfer than a loan move.
