Monaco's Freddy Adu: Zinedine Zidane my hero

US Men's National Team and Monaco player Freddy Adu was asked recently who he models his game on. Adu told yanks-abroad.com: "I like to watch old tapes of Zidane, Pele, and Ronaldo. Zidane and Ronaldo are the two greatest players of my generation. Zidane just has amazing overall soccer intelligence and elegance on and off the ball. Ronaldo has everything, speed, power, strength, foot skills, everything you need to be the best player in the world. I appreciate Zidane more so than Ronaldo because he was not so athletically gifted. He was more intelligent. I want to be like that. I'm fast and quick but not as big and tall as a lot of guys."

Adu also said he is enjoying his time in Monaco especially the international flavour of the city. Adu is currently training with the USMNT in Washington DC for USA's upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
