AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has welcomed praise from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Perez spoke earlier this week about signing the Colombian next year.
Alerted to the Real president's comments, Falcao said: "Nothing else I can do but thank Florentino for his words, but I have to respect my current club Monaco, which has made me feel great.
"I am very happy and it does not seem appropriate to talk about possible interest from Real Madrid at this time out of respect to my club."
