Chelsea are close to signing Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Frenchman is expected to complete a medical this week, according to Sky Sports,.

If everything goes to plan, Bakayoko could join his new teammates for their tour of China and Singapore next Monday.

The transfer has been delayed because of the knee surgery that the 22-year old underwent at the end of last season.

Negotiations over the transfer fee are still undergoing, with the fee expected to be between £35m and £40m.
