AS Monaco fullback Benjamin Mendy is set to undergo a Manchester City medical.
Monaco have been holding out for the same amount that England ace Kyle Walker cost.
And, as Pep Guardiola made the hunt for two world-class full-backs a summer priority, City are tipped to complete a deal for about £51m within days, says The Sun.
Monaco had already left Mendy out of their 23-man squad for this weekend's friendly against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal.
And that was the biggest hint yet that City are close to signing him – after Spurs hut the door on Three Lions' left-back Danny Rose following Walker to the Etihad.
Mendy, 23, who has four caps, joined Monaco in June 2016 in a five-year deal from Marseille.
