AS Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim insists Manchester United striker Anthony Martial is worth the €80 million fee he left for.

Martial signed for United on deadline day in September.

Jardim said: "From the moment someone puts a price on the table, he's worth it. Martial is a player that we valued.

"This is the club's project. When I arrived here, many young players who could not get a game with Monaco a year later, some signed with Inter Milan (Kondogbia), Atletico Madrid (Carrasco) or Manchester United (Martial). This is the club's project, this is normal.

"I will need time to make us stronger again."
