Monaco chasing Man City's Gelson

AS Monaco have expressed interest in unsettled Manchester City midfielder Gelson Fernandes.

Fernandes, who has started nine matches this season, signed from Sion, the Swiss club, in July 2007 for about £4.2 million.

He's ready to quit City over fears for his place in Switzerland's World Cup qualifying campaign.
