Monaco agree Mbokani can make West Ham move

West Ham United are in advanced talks for AS Monaco striker Dieumerci Mbokani.

The Daily Mail says West Ham are trying to make Mbokani their second signing of the January window after Monaco gave the go-ahead for his loan move.

Hammers boss Avram Grant has already lined up Steve Sidwell from Aston Villa but wants £7m-rated Mbokani, 25, to bolster his strikeforce.

The main concern is obtaining a work permit with Congo ranked 124th in the world.
