Molby not convinced Sterling exit would have major affect on Liverpool

Selling Raheem Sterling this summer would not have an enormous negative affect on Liverpool says Jan Molby.

The former Reds midfielder is of the belief that the 20-year old winger is not that important to the club and indicated that it would not be a huge issue if Brendan Rodgers were to offload him at the end of the season.

"It's not like Luis Suarez - you knew the impact that losing him would have. I'm not convinced if you sell Sterling it would have the same impact on the team, so it might not be a bad time to sell," said the Dane.

"Liverpool are still in transition and maybe the manager could do with the money."
