Jan Molby has revealed that the Liverpool fans have not forgiven Raheem Sterling for his acrimonious departure from the club over the summer.
Sterling forced a move away from Liverpool to join Manchester City and given the Citizens' fine form, many feel that the winger's move has been vindicated.
However, Reds supporters are still angry at Sterling for the manner of his departure and former midfielder Molby believes that the 20-year-old will be in for a hostile reception when the Reds square off against City at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.
Molby wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "Rightly or wrongly there will be a lot of anger towards Raheem Sterling from Liverpool fans on Saturday.
"They're disappointed because they thought he could have achieved at Liverpool what he needed at this stage of his career. It's way too early to say whether his move will benefit him or not."
