Liverpool hero Jan Molby hopes they can avoid Europa League qualification this season.
Brendan Rodgers has set his sights on a top-four finish next term and Molby insists the manager is right to focus on the bigger prize.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: "The Champions League is the place to be and I totally agree with Brendan's admission that missing out on the Europa League could prove to be a blessing for Liverpool.
"The Europa League hasn't quite caught the imagination and it doesn't come close to the Champions League.
"It looks like we won't be in Europe next season - but the priority next season has to be a top-four finish and getting back into Europe's elite.
"Not playing in the Europa League gives us a better chance of doing that."
