Former Juventus sports chief Luciano Moggi feels Alessandro del Piero will cut his ties with the club.

Juve president Andrea Agnelli wants Del Piero to stay involved with the club, though refuses to extend his playing contract.

"At the moment I do not think there is a chance for Del Piero to renew his deal with Juventus. I also believe the club have made a mistake with him," Moggi told Radio Mana Mana Sport.

"Del Piero is and will always be important for Juventus. You cannot question the player's class.

"I cannot see any reasons as to why Juventus are not using him regularly.

"And, seeing what Del Piero told El Pais, I think the relationship with Juventus will be concluded at the end of the season."
