Former Juventus chief Luciano Moggi says Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli should go to the World Cup. Moggi, who worked at Juve with Italy coach Marcello Lippi, insists the youngster can make an impact in South Africa.
"Considering that (Vincenzo) Iaquinta and (Alberto) Gilardino are not in optimal condition, Balotelli should go to the World Cup because the guy is explosive and knows how to be decisive over the course of a game," said Moggi.
"Anyway, Italy at the maximum can only avoid a bad impression at the next World Cup. There's no hope to win it again.
"The favourites are the current European champions Spain and the England of Fabio Capello."
