Moggi, commenting on Milan's requirements for next season, declared: "AC Milan has an absolute need for a goalkeeper. In the absence of (Gigi) Buffon, who is with Juventus, (Fiorentina's) Sebastian Frey is a viable alternative.

"They also need a striker. Pippo Inzaghi, despite age, has proved to be a great man inside the area, scoring goals that others are incapable of. However, Milan lack cohesion in the attacking department and I believe that they need a striker like Luca Toni or Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"Given the situation of both Toni and Ibrahimovic, I think that Milan should focus on Amauri, a player who is very physical and is a very important goalscorer, who can score with both feet and his head."
