The transfer talk involving Luka Modric might abate for a little while after he flew to South Africa with the rest of the Tottenham players.
The 25-year old Croatian midfielder continues to be heavily linked with a summer shift to rivals Chelsea despite manager Harry Redknapp and chairman Daniel Levy remaining defiant.
But Modric has at least showed he wants to be involved with the rest of the squad by traveling to South Africa for their 10-day pre-season tour and Redknapp feels it may be the perfect tonic for his playmaker.
"Hopefully he will go away and get a bit of football now and just get on with it. We hope that he will come back and get ready for the new season," he said.
