Tottenham meet fifth placed rivals Liverpool on Sunday with Spurs Luka Modric wanting his Spurs team-mates to bounce back from the disappointment of failing to qualify for the Champions League and ensure that Europa League football is played at White Hart Lane next season. The Croatian playmaker has challenged his colleagues to focus on overhauling an in-form Reds side two points ahead.
"Liverpool are playing well and it will be another interesting game," Modric told the club's website.
"I hope we can produce the same performance as we did at City but this time with the right result.
"It will show what we are made of. We are out of the Champions League but we now need to fight for fifth place. We need to show our character."
