Luka Modric hopes Tottenham are a good enough side to deal with two road trips in four days when they meet Stoke City on the weekend.
Spurs experienced an upset of sorts when they were beaten 3-2 in a Champions League qualifier by Swiss Super League outfit Young Boys on Tuesday night but Modric is not about to use midweek travel as an excuse if the side does not grab a good result at Britannia Stadium.
"To go away twice in four days - that is football, you cannot choose the games or where you play," Modric told the Evening Standard.
"Some other teams struggle but, I hope we play well.
"We have big qualities to play in the Champions League and we will show that this season.
"It is very physical challenge at Stoke like always, but we know that.
"We beat them last year and I think we can do it again this year."
