Luka Modric admits he is thriving under the management of new Tottenham gaffer Harry Redknapp.

The Croatian midfielder, 23, said: "Harry likes to speak with every single player and gives them confidence to go out and play good football, which we need.

"He always tells us we are good players and it makes it easier to play when you have confidence.

"Personally, I'm getting used to the game here all the time and I hope I can keep getting better.

"The spirit is good and confidence is high, but we have a lot more hard work to do yet.

"We need to keep winning and have big games coming up."
