Luka Modric is confident of impressing his new Tottenham fans while playing for Croatia at Euro2008.

"I am confident I will live up to the expectations of Croatian fans as well as Tottenham supporters, as some of them told me they now had someone to cheer for at Euro 2008," said Modric.

"We are all impatient for the tournament to start and while I am hoping for good individual performances it will take a consistent team effort to achieve the results we want."
