Moaning Warnock given warning by Crystal Palace chief

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has urged manager Neil Warnock to stop criticizing referees.

The Eagles boss has produced a couple of outbursts directed at match officials so far this season, most notably when he was fined and warned by the FA for comments he made after his side's 2-1 loss to Chelsea last month.

Now chairman Parish has handed out his own notice of caution by imploring Warnock to keep his mouth closed as to not negatively affect the south London club in the future.

"I don't think Neil should complain about referees," Parish told the London Evening Standard.

"I've told him that. I don't think it helps us with matches. I don't think a manager should do anything other than try to help his club."

However, Parish was also complimentary of Warnock who took over from Tony Pulis in August and has guided the club up to 15th position in the early stages of the 2014/15 Premier League season.

"Neil's brilliant. From a communications point of view, he's the easiest manager I've ever had to chat to," added Parish.
