MLS WRAP - WEEK 12: RSL back in touch as Galaxy and NYRB both held

Another week of MLS action has passed by and it seems as though the tables in both the East and West are beginning to take shape. In the West, 2010 Supporters' Shield winners LA Galaxy are five points clear of last season's MLS Cup runners-up FC Dallas after they drew 0-0 with DC United in Carson whilst Dallas defeated New England Revolution 1-0 at home.

Real Salt Lake may be placed fourth in the same conference and although they are ten points in arrears of the Galaxy, they have six games in hand and have hit form with a 2-0 home win over Vancouver Whitecaps on the weekend.

In the East, New York Red Bulls were unable to overcome Columbus Crew who scored a late equaliser to force a 1-1 draw at Red Bull Arena leaving them second on the table.

The Red Bulls are two points behind Philadelphia Union who also drew 1-1 with Colorado Rapids in Commerce City.

In other MLS Week 12 games, Toronto FC and Sporting Kansas played out a scoreless draw, as did Chicago Fire and Seattle Sounders whilst San Jose Earthquakes won 2-0 at home over Houston Dynamo with Chivas USA downing Portland Timbers 1-0 in Los Angeles.
