MLS WRAP - WEEK 11: Union hammer Toronto, Timbers and RSL lose at home

MLS action for Week 11 was completed this weekend with a host of interesting results once again. The biggest result was Philadelphia Union's 6-2 hammering of Toronto FC at BMO Field with three goals in each half from the visiting side doing the damage against a hapless Reds defence.

Danny Mwanga scored the last two goals as the Union moved to the top of the Eastern Conference table whilst Toronto remained seventh but have now conceded the most goals (23) in the entire league.

In Ohio, Columbus Crew came from behind three times to force a 3-3 draw with Chivas USA who were reduced to ten men with 20 minutes remaining when Jorge Flores was sent off whilst New York Red Bulls fell behind before grabbing a 1-1 draw at Vancouver Whitecaps.

LA Galaxy extended their lead in the West to seven points by defeating New England Revolution 1-0 away from home, ten man Houston Dynamo forced a 2-2 draw with FC Dallas, Chicago Fire and San Jose Earthquakes had the same scoreline at Toyota Park, Seattle Sounders recorded a vital 2-1 away win at Real Salt Lake - which was their first MLS loss at the venue in 32 matches - as Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City had a 1-1 draw at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

And in the final match of the round, expansion franchise Portland Timbers lost their first game home when DC United beat them 3-2 at JELD-WEN Field.
