MLS, Man Utd managers full of praise for energetic Beckham

The managers of the Major League Soccer All-Star and Manchester United teams have both spoken highly of David Beckham after his performance on Wednesday night.

The 36-year old LA Galaxy star put in an impressive shift as captain of the MLS team in their 4-0 loss at Red Bull Arena and both Hans Backe and former boss Sir Alex Ferguson were complimentary of the ex-England and Red Devils skipper.

"I think David was phenomenal. He's so, so competitive. Being around the world playing, he's still very hungry," said Backe.

Whilst Ferguson added: "I thought David Beckham did pretty well. Thirty-six years of age and he still has great energy."
