Major League Soccer officials are hoping they can ward off interest from Europe for USA U17 international Herber Mejia 'Junior' Flores.
The 15-year old produced some brilliant performances for the US U17s at the Nike International Friendlies tournament in late November and early December and now a host of MLS clubs including Seattle Sounders, San Jose Earthquakes, FC Dallas and Chicago Fire are circling.
MLS want to sign him to a Generation adidas contract ahead of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft on January 12.
