MLS enjoying unprecedented TV viewership

MLS viewing numbers on NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) have gone through the roof in recent weeks.

The weekend's 1-1 draw between LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders averaged 247,000 viewers taking the numbers for the last eight games to more than 140,000 which is a 60% increase on last year.

A report on Soccer America revealed that: "NBCSN is averaging 111,000 per game for 31 MLS games. It has seven games to catch up to its final regular-season average of 122,000 on NBCSN in 2012."

And it seems that Friday night matches are a winner with an average of 153,000 viewers per game over the last month.
