The 2009 MLS Super Draft will take place in St Louis on Thursday 15th January starting at 2pm EST. With many clubs not only selecting available players for the 2009 season but also exchanging draft pick options for MLS players the next week will see a major upturn in trades and transfer activity for Major League Soccer teams in the USA.

As with any transfer period pre-season rumours are circulating regarding many names in the league, this year it includes Stefan Frei, Jonathan Bornstein, Ante Jazic, Todd Dunivant and Christian Gomez.
