MLS clubs hoping to form partnership with Man City and Atletico Madrid
A report on HinchaTV.com says that the two clubs will band together to form a 1012 club global alliance and some MLS clubs are heavily interested.
Seven teams are already confirmed for the association - Manchester City (England), Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Al Ain (United Arab Emirates), Muangthong United (Thailand), Shangai Shenhua (China), America (Mexico) and Atlético Madrid (Spain) - with a minimum of three more to come in.
Those clubs will be from Brazil (Atletico Paranaense, Palmeiras or Internacional) and Japan (Yokohama Marinos or FC Tokyo) whilst the three MLS clubs linked are New York Red Bulls, Chivas USA and San Jose Earthquakes.
The coalition will be seeking to expand each club's image all over the world and there are also whispers of a friendly tournament in August which will feature all the clubs in a round robin format during pre-season.
