MLS Commissioner Don Garber has revealed that he is delighted with the reception of Sporting Kansas City's soccer-specific stadium, LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
As North America's domestic league looks to introduce more and more purpose-built stadiums for MLS play, one of the most recent venues has been warmly welcomed by Garber after he visited the site.
"I'm overwhelmed by this stadium," Garber said during an interview with The Kansas City Kansan. "It's absolutely remarkable what Sporting Kansas City has done here and I had high expectations and they have 'over-delivered.
"The soccer stadium business is evolving on a yearly basis," he added. "It seems like every year we're out visiting a new stadium.
"Here in Kansas City they have had a great vision. This is a facility that will rival any stadium of any size.
"Kansas City has always been a good soccer city. The team needed to be re-energized and the move and new stadium have helped. The ownership group has done a terrific job."
