MLS chief Garber: Beckham's Miami franchise can't go ahead without a stadium
The former Manchester United and LA Galaxy star is looking to get a Miami team off the ground along with Bolivian billionaire Marcelo Claure but Garber said at his 'State of the League' address from New York that stadium issues are currently preventing things from happening.
However, Garber did admit that all parties were working together to get something off the ground in the not too distant future.
"There's a lot of work that needs to happen," he said on the Google+ Hangout.
"We can't go to Miami without the right stadium solution. David understands that. The city understands that. That's an indisputable fact. We can't have different rules in Miami than we have in any other city.
"We want to do as much as we can to work with David and [his business manager] Simon Fuller to get something done as quickly as we can."
