Didier Drogba has revealed that Major League Soccer were a little late in their offer for his services last year.
The Ivorian striker left Chelsea last summer to sign a lucrative $22million deal with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, turning down a $10m offer from MLS.
Drogba, who departed Shanghai to join Turkish giants Galatasaray in January this year, told SI.com's Grant Wahl that the MLS proposal came a little late after Shanghai's pried him away from Stamford Bridge.
"When we started talking I had already decided where I was going to go, and they came a bit late," he said.
