MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is delighted for Dele Alli over his England call-up.

Alli left MK Dons for Tottenham last summer.

Robinson told talkSPORT: “There are always an awful lot of questions about players playing for a short period of time and then getting in the England squad almost immediately.

“But he is someone we've always said will play for England.

“He's an exceptionally gifted kid and the way he's conducted himself over the past three months has been quite remarkable, how he just seems to take everything in his stride.

“And I think you'll see that again. He'll just conduct himself the same way he has all season."
