Newcastle United's summer arrival Aleksandar Mitrovic cannot wait to play in front of the home supporters at St. James' Park.

The 20-year-old Serbian striker, who arrived in a £13million deal from Anderlecht, claims that he has been a Newcastle fan since his Partizan Belgrade days.

"I've always loved Newcastle because even when you are watching on tv, you can feel the passion of the crowd," said Mitrovic. "It will be a pleasure to play in front of them."

Newcastle will play Southampton at St. James' Park in their season opener on Sunday.
