Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is set to leave the club, according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners will replace him with former player Edu, who will be appointed as the club's technical director.

The move is another part of hierarchy restructuring at the club following the departure of former chief Ivan Gazidis in the summer.

Edu has been technical director at Corinthians since 2011 and also for the Brazil national team.

The former midfielder made 127 appearances for Arsenal between 2001 and 2005.
