Arsenal are in contact with Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele.

Since returning from long-term injury over the New Year, Dembele has found himself on the outer of coach Ernesto Valverde's plans and been criticised for his poor defensive game.

Indeed, some senior teammates believe Dembele's style of play doesn't suit their system and doubts about his long-term status are being raised inside the Barca locker room.

Don Balon says Arsenal are well aware of Dembele's situation and have already contacted his minders about a summer move. Driving the deal is Sven Mislintat, who was at Borussia Dortmund when they signed him from Rennes two years ago.

Now in charge of recruitment at Arsenal, Mislintat is pushing for a reunion with the French youngster this summer.
