James Milner is putting off new contract talks with Aston Villa until after the World Cup.
The Mirror says there are no contract talks scheduled between Milner and the club.
The star is happy with his £45,000-a-week deal, agreed when he joined on a four-year deal from Newcastle for £12million in August 2008.
Milner, 24, still has two-and-a-half years left on his contract at Villa Park.
And the star plans to talk about new terms after the World Cup this summer where he is hoping to impress.
He could then eclipse £65,000-a-week Ashley Young as Villa's top earner - or land a move to an even bigger club like Liverpool whose boss Rafa Benitez rates him highly.
