James Milner has told young Aston Villa teammate Nathan Delfouneso he can achieve all his goals at Villa Park.

Milner, who was a similar age when he broke through at Leeds, said: "Nathan is definitely at the right club. Young players get thrust into the limelight and there can be a lot of pressure.

"You need to make sure you deal with it in the right way and have the right people around you.

"I am sure Nathan's family and friends won't let it go to his head. I was lucky my mum and dad brought me up the right way.

"Nathan has been in with the first team and travelling but he still does his jobs in and around the training ground, cleaning boots.

"It shows he is working hard and how much he wants it. He has shown his quality and I am sure he is one for the future.

"If you are lucky to have a stable environment you take things in your stride.

"Wayne Rooney came through at a similar time and that took some of the pressure and limelight off me."
