Millwall signing Tim Cahill has spoken of why he left Everton.
The Toffees legend joined New York Red Bulls after nearly a decade on Merseyside.
He's now returned to England to finish his career with Millwall.
But the Australia international admits he quit the UK initially because of the relentless schedule.
"That was the conversation I had with David Moyes when I left Everton," says Cahill.
"I said if I stayed I'd have to retire at 35, and not play for the national team anymore.
“I knew that, because there's too many games.
“I made a decision that was best for both.
“I'll never give up on the national team."
