Millwall have signed Manchester City midfielder Marc Laird.

The 21-year-old academy scholar will link up with our former reserve team manager Kenny Jackett, who took over at the New Den earlier this season.

City academy chief Jim Cassell told the club's website: "Marc's a terrific footballer, he has lots of energy and he can go from box to box with no problems. I think this is a great career move for him because we know that Kenny's a developer of players as well. We're always sorry when of the boys moves on, but it's the right time for him and we wish him all the best."
