Millwall seek Donachie replacement

Millwall have begun the search for a new manager with executive deputy chairman Heather Rabbatts determined to find the right candidate.

Willie Donachie was sacked after just over a year in charge when the Lions slumped to the bottom of League One following Saturday's 4-0 defeat by Carlisle.

"We hope to have someone in as quickly as possible but we have a good interim solution in Richard and Colin and I've already been impressed with the way they are preparing the team for Saturday's game," Rabbatts told the club's official website.

"We want to get it right and we also want to conduct the process as speedily as possible, so it's about getting the balance between those two objectives.

"Our aim is to get a manager we feel has the track record to take us through this season and beyond."
