The London Evening Standard says the 34-year-old , who has an English wife, has three months of his contract to run at Rosenborg, who face FC Copenhagen in the Champions League tonight.
Ipswich, Norwich and Crystal Palace are also interested in the Scandinavian. Bolton winger Danny Ward is another possible target for the Lions.
