Millwall figures show reduced loss

Millwall have announced a £5.2million loss for the last financial year. The figures, up until 30 June, are an improvement on the previous year where they made a loss of £6.1million.

Chairman John G Berylson has reiterated his commitment to the club and confirmed he will continue to invest.

"We went very close to winning promotion and that near miss has only made us more determined to achieve it in the very near future," he said.

"I believe the key to our renewed success is that we have achieved a level of stability that is just beginning to pay off.

"Due to the financial uncertainty in today's world we have continued to fund the company and are very conscious of the financial issues facing football clubs at all levels from Conference to Premiership."
