Millwall's fans have won some rare praise for their conduct during last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Brentford.

The Lions travelling support were as vociferous as ever during the London derby, but made the right impression on Bees CEO David Heath.

In a letter to Millwall, Heath wrote: "Just a brief note to ask you to pass on to your supporters a `thank you' from Brentford for their exemplary behaviour at Griffin Park for last Saturday's match.

"We have never had issues with Millwall fans and I know you were pleased with our attitude to your fans in the run-up to the game.

"Our police quite rightly did not deem the game as high risk and certainly were not expecting any trouble.

"Our police representative was as delighted with the behaviour and attitude of your fans as we were - your fans were a credit to their club."
