Millwall have rejected a loan bid from South London rivals Charlton Athletic for Dany N'Guessan.
Lions chief executive Andy Ambler has confirmed that the Addicks made an unsuccessful enquiry to take the 25-year old French midfielder back on a short-term deal after his spell at The Valley last season.
"Charlton approached us last week with an offer to take Dany N'Guessan from us on loan," Ambler told News Shopper.
"We turned it down. If Dany is to move on it will be in a deal which benefits Millwall.
"A few clubs have expressed an interest in Dany but there is no bid on the table."
