Matt Mills says the departure of Sven Goran Eriksson could give him a boost at Manchester City.

Mills joined City from Southampton in 2006 but was sent out on loan to Doncaster by Eriksson.

He lines up for Donny in the League One play-off semi second leg tonight - which is 0-0 after the first clash at Southend.

And the defender said: "If the boss leaves I hope it changes things for me.

"I've got a year left on my City deal and I still want to play at the top."
