Bill Miller will go ahead with his bid to acquire majority shareholding of Rangers Football Club.
The American businessman says he will push on with his £11.2million offer to take ownership of the Glasgow giants after it was revealed no bidders had stepped in to help save the club by close of business yesterday.
"As I stated on Friday if there were no other bids by close of business Monday I would begin the process of acquiring Rangers according to the plan that I outlined on Friday.
"I can confirm now I have had discussions today with the SFA (Scottish Football Association ) and the SPFA (Scottish Professional Footballers Association) and I'll be having discussions with Ally McCoist later today to discuss his recommendation regarding the players.""After speaking with the administrators today I understand no other bidders have stepped up to offer to save Rangers," he said on Monday.
