Charlie Miller has declared he'd like to play out his career with Gold Coast United.
The former Rangers and Watford midfielder is on a short-term deal with Gold Coast after being pushed out of Brisbane Roar last month.
"It's all very well for me to talk a good game but I have to go out and play a good game and hopefully that will be the thing which lands me a contract with Gold Coast," he explained.
"I feel I've done OK so far in three games (a goal and an assist before the injury against the Roar) but there's a lot of work to do yet before I can sit down with Clive Palmer and Miron (Bleiberg) and discuss the future.
"I would like to be with United for as long a possible. They are a great bunch of players and there's a great atmosphere at the club."
