Miller in doubt as Vancouver Whitecaps prepare for RSL

Kenny Miller is in some doubt as Vancouver Whitecaps get set to host Real Salt Lake this weekend.

The sixth-placed side in the Western Conference host second on Saturday but could be without Scottish veteran Miller who has an adductor problem which has hampered him throughout the season.

"Hopefully, later in the week he will (train)," said head coach Martin Rennie earlier in the week. "We'll just wait and see on that one."

Whilst hopeful regarding Miller, the Whitecaps boss was preparing a contingency plan to pair with Camilo Sanvezzo which includes Tommy Heinemann and Darren Mattocks.

"With Montreal (last week), we specifically saw things we thought Tommy could exploit and he did a good job of doing that," added Rennie.

"But every game is a little bit different. But as much as possible, we want to keep the team as settled as we can."
